The past few weeks, APAMSA has been involved in a few lunch talks and other events:

APAMSA Lunch Talk – 2/21/13

We learned more about HBV and its significant threat to minorities here in Ohio. Every year 350M are infected with HBV, 600K will die. While Asian Americans are known to be greatly affected, a surprising 2007 IOM report revealed the highest rate of infection that year occurred among non-Hispanic Black men.

Culinary Club Potluck – 2/27/13

The Culinary Club and APAMSA held a joint potluck to celebrate the Lunar New Year! It was a fabulous event!

LMSA Lunch Talk – 2/28/13

LMSA, in conjunction with APAMSA, SNMA, and Medical Bioethics, is excited to have had Dr. Jack Rubinstein from the department of cardiology return.  The discussion topic will be Non-communicable Diseases in the Third World.
