Hi everyone!

APAMSA, along with SNMA and LMSA, is holding a bone marrow drive in conjunction with Swab a Cheek, Save a Life!  The mission of the organization is “to ensure that every person who needs a life saving bone marrow transplant will have an equal opportunity to find one.”  Thus, their primary goals are to recruit minority donors and keep donors enrolled.  We want to aid in their mission by expanding the bone marrow registry.
We are looking for about ~25 volunteers to help conduct cheek swabs (1 hour shifts) to add people to the registry: Thursday November 15 (12-5PM) & Friday November 16 (12-3PM).  All volunteers who run the drive will receive a free t-shirt from Swab a Cheek, Save a Life, and it is mandatory to attend the training session occurring Wednesday November 7 at 1PM.  If you are interested in swabbing people, please sign up HERE!  If you don’t have the time, please consider dropping by and getting swabbed to be added to the registry!
Wednesday November 14 (12-1PM) – Lunch talk about hematopoietic stem cell transplantation, Dr. Parinda Mehta, MSB3051
Thursday November 15 (12-5PM) – Bone marrow drive, MSB atrium
Friday November 16 (12-3PM) – Bone marrow drive, MSB atrium
